Plant Engineer and Controls Engineer

As Plant Engineer for our clients state-of-the-art water and beverage manufacturing facility, you would develop and direct technical improvement and documentation for equipment, and work with Process Engineering, Production, Planning, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Project Engineering to provide improvements in efficiency, scrap, speed and reliability. You would also be integral to the development of new products, product improvements, manufacturing cost control, and quality improvements. To qualify, you must hold a Bachelors degree in EngineeringPackaging, Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electricaland possess 5
years of recent experience in managing maintenance operations. Additionally, you should have 5
years of direct supervision of a 5 to 6 (minimum) technical, salaried production staff, including budget responsibilities. An acute understanding of PLCs, electrical system processes, and industrial food equipment operations is essential.
As Controls Engineer, you would specify, design, and implement intricate controls systems and software programming on production equipment and associated machinery. You would also provide training and assist Controls Technicians in solving complex problems. To qualify, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics or Electrical Technology, and possess 3 or more years in a supervisory/management role. Your background should encompass process improvement for high-speed production equipment with PLCs, servo drives, motion controls and HMIs. Experience providing technical analysis, feasibility studies and recommendations for controls systems is crucial, as is instrument calibrations. Knowledge of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens programming is required. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, SQL Server and manufacturing execution systems (MES) software, and be able to perform AutoCAD documentation of electrical systems. Finally, you should be able to design all system levels and define system components including Systems Architecture drawings, wiring diagrams, points lists, configurations, HMI screens, and a detailed bill of materials. Basic computer skills are a given.
