Cinder Solutions is excited to announce a new opening for a Wireless Performance Engineer for one of our growing clients in Santa Clara, CA. This is a full time, 40 an hour a week position. Each full time employee receives a competitive benefits package that includes PTO and healthcare coverage.
Job Description:
Highly-technical Wireless Performance Engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills. You will join a dynamic team responsible for qualifying and improving the latest products embedded in the latest mobile devices. Your focus will be analyzing and improving wireless performance of our clients network optimization products.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and automate wireless performance testing of our clients messaging and communication products
- Work closely with software engineering team to analyze and improve wireless performance
- Subject area expert of wireless performance in terms of bandwidth efficiency, signaling efficiency in the wireless access network
Required Skills:
- Familiar with Antenna and integrated system testing in anechoic chamber
- Hands on experience with WiFi/BT/GPS/MIMO performance over-the-air testing in terms of sensitivity and throughput
- Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/LTE radio and CTIA Over The Air (OTA) tests or related experience.
- Experience with RF measurement test equipment like base station emulators, Network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network tools like iperf
- Familiarity of result generation from the OTA measurement tables and plots
- Good managing skills in being able to handle vendor communication and engagement for ite
- Detail oriented with capturing, analyzing data and executing test plans
- Experience with mobile device component and architecture is a plus
- Experience in FCC regulatory certification is a plus
Education/
Experience:
MS with 3-5 years of experience or BS with 10 years of experience in the RF/Antenna/Wireless area
