Job
Summary:
Responsible for developing/testing solutions to solve technical problems in manufacturing and maintenance. Assists engineers, inspects products, conduct tests and collects data. Checks and makes sure proper set-up of machinery and equipment.
Assembly Process Technology Eng. Specialist:
Sensibility for small component assemblies (thin discs in valving) and larger component assemblies (Shock/Strut final assembly). Strong competence in valving assembly including foolproof and quality control systems that use No Fault Forward including: Measuring systems, vision systems, stroke/force control, hydraulic force measuring, tightening system, presses, oil dosing systems, rolling operations, riveting & ect. Competence on marking systems (laser marking/datamatrix/barcoding/micro punching) and reading of such markings. Competency in traceability (M.E.S) systems preferable. Competency on machine and tooling/fixture design with parameter definition / optimization and setting sensibility about ergonomics, workplace organization and material feeding

Primary
Responsibilities:
1. To support operations and WCM cross functional team in order to improve:
a. Machines and process safety
b. Plant productivity through cycle time improvements, line balancing and NVAA & loss reduction
c. Process flow and layout design and implementation for both new and existing processes.
d. Process capabilities & quality
2. Develop new machines, processes and tools according to WCM rules following the 7 steps of World Class Manufacturing, Early Equipment Management for design and implementing new processes in accordance to Business Line technical standards.
3. Develop new machine technical specs and DAP finalization with suppliers:
a. Design approval process: Prior to launching new machine; designs and specs are finalized with the CFT including maintenance, technology & production.
b. Finalize buy off sheet and run off with supplier
c. Follow new tooling development from design to installation
4. Participate in new projects / APQP meetings and plant expansion projects.
a. Ensure machines, tools, jigs and fixtures and designs made available to production based on emerging requirements.
5. Create solutions to complex technical problems in a variety of manufacturing processes.
6. Assist engineers as they create, modify and test products and processes.
7. Inspect product and processes for flaws and identify areas of improvement
8. Conduct tests and collect data
9. Build and set-up equipment
10. Prepare and conduct experiments
11. Calculate and record results during experimentation
12. Create prototypes of equipment
13. Calibrate instrumentation: Load cells/Pressure transducers/LVDTs
14. Design, develop, test and manufacture electronic and computer controlled mechanical systems.
15. VA/VE activities Identification and implimentation
