POSITION
Summary:
Under general direction of the Crossdock Logistics Manager, the analyst is responsible for ensuring all inbound and outbound freight is delivered on-time for the National Distribution Center (NDC). This includes working with carriers and internal/external stakeholders to resolve any service issues and works continuously to improve and optimize the NDC transportation network.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Monitors shipment statuses of all daily inbound and outbound shipments for the NDC
Works closely with carrier dispatch, forward distribution centers, ABC corporate departments and manufacturers in solving issues and/or answers questions relative to delivery problems
Manages and maintains Transportation Management System (TMS). This includes contract/rate management, load tendering, shipment monitoring, training, etc.
Develops SOP's that ensure all carriers follow the proper policies and procedures when delivering ABC freight
Develops and maintains dashboard that will analyze daily/weekly/monthly transportation KPIs (key performance indicators)
Audits carrier invoices against contract terms and approves transportation invoices for payment
Works closely with carrier partners, forward distribution centers, ABC corporate departments, and manufacturers to manage any issues related to claims, payment, delivery issues, etc.
Works with carriers and Crossdock Logistics Manager as needed to improve various aspects of performance
Proficient in data acquisition from various AmerisourceBergen Corporation (ABC) Client Relationship or Transportation Management systems which include but not limited to: WMS, SAP, TMS, and other systems or data sources as needed or added
Create/prepare and gather data and requirements for transportation request for proposal's (RFP's) and carrier conversions
Monitors transportation vendor compliance with global contracts
Analyzes and performs freight & lane characteristics to effectively select the optimal carriers
Provide analysis and data in preparation for carrier quarterly business reviews
Trains others in the solutions designed to manage the processes necessary to support the NDC Transportation Network
Interacts with carriers and Transportation Manager to improve service reporting ability
Ability to prepare swim lane and process flow documents and communicate effectively to various business groups
Manage new manufacturer additions alongside of Crossdock Logistics Manager, Global Sourcing, National Distribution Center, National Replenishment Center and other internal and external groups
Works to continuously improve business processes and designs by developing and providing data that results in the implementation of initiatives that reduce cost, improve effectiveness and improves the quality or magnitude of the end result
Responsible for maintaining data integrity and interfaces with ABC carrier systems and TMS. On-boards new carriers and technology partners as needed
Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
Performs related duties as assigned
Qualifications: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Prior experience in full truckload industry is required. Exposure to pharmaceutical industry helpful, small package, LTL, experience a plus. Experience in the preparation of, or responding to, RFP's and RFQ's in a transportation environment. Ability to effectively present information to all organizational levels; hourly associates, supervisors, upper management, and external groups related to the industry. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, fianncial reports, and legal documents.

Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project
