Position: SQA Engineer
Location: Lexington, MA
LOA: 9 Months

Summary:The SQA Engineer is a contributing member of the QA team responsible for ensuring product quality. The position demands good oral and written communication skills and good time management in order to help meet project milestones. Produces quality test plans that are easy to maintain and well documented. Performs functional, system, regression, stress, and install testing on products. Works in a team environment and coordinates activities with Quality Assurance team, support representatives, product developers and product manager. Must be flexible and detail oriented. Must have experience testing Microsoft Desktop products.
Key
Responsibilities:
o Installing product software on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2012.
o User Experience focus on the product software
o Design, and write test plans and test cases as needed for testing a browser based UI.
o Perform manual testing of software solutions on including analyzing test results, defect reporting, recreating problems and executing test cases and regression suites.
Qualifications / Required
Experience:
o Experience using Install Shield to install products in Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 2008, and Windows Server 2012.
o Experience in User Experience as it pertains to use and efficiency on a browser based UI.
o Working experience as a QA responsible for testing a UI.
o Working experience with Oracle 11.1 and higher or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and higher.
o Experience installing Roles and Features on the Microsoft Operating Systems mentioned above.
o Experience with the Microsoft File System, as it pertains to deleting, copying, and renaming files and directories.
o Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel.
o Customer focused individual that is quality minded.
o A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience/training.
o 4
years of experience in implementing software testing theories and practices.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Experience in a Mainframe environment (TSO/ISPF/JCL); knowledge of z/OS operating system.
Maintain test scripts and plans, execute tests, and detect problems. Clearly and accurately report problems found during testing. Act as integral member of team responsible for creation and maintenance of all test documentation. Update and enhance test suites and test methods in order to improve the validation of changes to products. Follow established organizational processes within the team. Demonstrate ability to collaborate and work as a team, both with QA and development.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
