Summary:
This engineering position is responsible to complete or assist in the completion of duties necessary to commission Energy Conservation Measures defined within the commissioning plan of a Performance Contracting project. Within the framework of a self perform automation project, this position is also responsible for the field implementation of the Building Automation Systems. This will include completing various levels of Pre-Functional and Functional Performance Testing, System Optimization, and troubleshooting as needed to provide a completely operational Building Automation System. This position will be required to perform/lead building automation system changeovers or equipment replacement and verify proper equipment operation while documenting performance results as directed by the team leader or Performance Services Lead Engineer.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

o Review Contract and Scope of work
o Prepare necessary documents and data sheets
o Interact with subcontractors during construction phase of a project
o Implement Automation Cutover plans
o Verify field devices and wiring
o Calibrate field devices per specifications
o Troubleshoot and diagnose system communication issues
o Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues
o Verify mechanical systems
o Apply Performance tests to mechanical equipment
o Verify software programming as applied to field devices
o Assist with the development of commissioning documents
o Prepare automation project closeout documents
o Assist with customer training associated with Commissioning
o Provide post project support
o Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
o Bachelors degree in an engineering or technology program with 2 years related experience
o Associates degree in an engineering or technology program with 3 years related experience
o High school diploma with 6 years related experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
o Advanced understanding of building automation systems
o Advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
o Good understanding of testing, adjusting, and balancing procedures
o Understanding of standard energy conservation measures
o Advanced understanding of commissioning and validation tasks
o Ability to analyze MEP drawings
o Strong organizational skills
o Strong multi-tasking skills
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Strong Customer Service Skills
o Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Visio and Windows environment
o Good understanding of interoperability between mechanical equipment and building automation systems
