The Town of Gilbert is seeking team-oriented self-starters to fill the position of Detention Facility Supervisor within its Police Department. The individuals selected to fill these important positions will supervise the operations of the Town's holding facility, the work of assigned staff, and the care and custody of detainees. Work involves maintaining and organizing schedules used by detention personnel; advising, guiding, assisting, training, evaluating and disciplining assigned personnel; reviewing officer reports; directing incidents; investigating internal and external complaints; preparing and maintaining department files; and performing general detention duties. The Detention Facility Supervisor will also be responsible for the transportation and booking of prisoners in a secure custody environment and other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the position include an Associate's degree or equivalent college credits and three years ofdetention experience within a municipal or similar government agency.Previous experience and training in supervision is highly desirable.Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. complete and submit an on-line employment application. Licenses & Certifications:
Must possess and maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and be eligible to obtain a class C CDL with passenger endorsement. Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation and polygraph testing. Must demonstrate the ability to comply with Arizona P.O.S.T. firearms requirements.
Supplemental Information:
Starting pay will be between the beginning and job rate ($31.01) of the posted salary range, DOQ.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
