Enhance your career in the growing healthcare industry by joining our team as aMedicaid Representativeyou will utilize your knowledge of the claims process by analyzing and applying payor contract terms and conditions to ensure that all elements of the account are accurate. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
Document account status, and respond to calls and inquiries from internalHBCSdepartments and hospital personnel
Reconcile daily placements and audit reports
Process requests for online adjustments, re-bill requests, cash posting, and document requests
Sort, file, and distribute records, reports and incoming mail, and prepare outgoing correspondence for mailing distribution
Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of Medicaid experience required
1 to 2 years of experience with patient accounts receivable and/or insurance claims processing.
Ability to analyze and resolve problems, and identify payor reimbursement discrepancies.
Computer and keyboard skill, proficiency with the ability to update multiple systems while interacting with third parties
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an emphasis on customer service
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC codes, as well as UB-04 and 1500 claims forms.
