Position Description
Mariko Tech is seeking a System Administrator to support a high-performance computing (HPC) Linux cluster at NASAs Goddard Space Flight Center. Join a team that provides advanced computing resources to the science community. Work in an environment where engineers, scientists, and technologists advance space-based research.
System Administrator Responsibilities
Manage and administer HPC Linux cluster to include OS installation, system patching, and performance monitoring.
Install, configure, and patch software.
Apply and monitor security controls.
Conduct research emerging products, services, protocols, and standards
Create scripts to automate processes as appropriate.
Configure and maintain web servers and web applications
Position Requirements
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 8 years equivalent work experience.
Extensive Linux administration experience.
Knowledge of Linux file systems
Adept at writing and editing Linux scripts (Perl, Python, shell scripts, etc.)
Strong knowledge of local area network administration.
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Experience with large data management.
Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required.
Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
