A Program Chair/Director Assistant is employed by RCCC with the expectation that the college is the primary employer. Responsibilities/duties of the Program Chair/Director Assitant take priority over external employment. The Program Chair/Director Assistant is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism in assuring that at least 40 hours per week is spent in the performance of these responsibilities and duties. The Program Chair/Director Assistant is a full-time faculty member who is a content specialist in a specific area of instruction and is expected to demonstrate a visibly active role in maintaining the assigned content area in a comprehensive, current, and responsible manner. The Program Chair/Director Assistant has responsibilities delegated by the appropriate Academic Dean for managing a specific content area.
The Program Chair/Director for Physical Therapy will have a degree, experience and certification consistent with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) sec. 2.2.2.1
Required Education/Experience Skills:
- The program chair/director assistant is a physical therapist or a physical therapist assistant.
- The program chair/director assistant demonstrates the academic and professional qualifications and relevant experience in education requisite for providing effective leadership for the program, the program faculty, and the students.
- These qualifications include all of the following: a minimum of a master's degree; licensure (if a physical therapist), or licensure, certification, or registration in states where applicable (if a physical therapist assistant); experience in clinical practice; didactic and/or clinical teaching experience; experience in administration; experience in educational theory and methodology (curricular design, development, implementation and evaluation); experience in instructional design and methodology; and experience in student evaluation and outcomes assessment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
