Regional VP General Manager (Mid Atlantic) responsible for managing construction activities in the region for fiber optic network infrastructure, including design, construction, installation, and maintenance. Duties include:
Manage fiber optic design, fiber optic construction and field operations teams.
Track and forecast operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of deliverables and supporting workflows in order to measure operational performance, and identify and assess areas of opportunity for improved process efficiencies and performance.
Contribute to strategic growth and development of the region in partnership with the regional sales leadership.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics across personnel, network deployments, process and technology, as well as participate in recommending and implementing changes based upon results.
Maintain knowledge of technology in use, and/or under development for its impact or potential impact on the operational business process.
Create and maintain Process documents.
Develop and manage the Regional CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Maintain quality service by enforcing all organization standards and policies.
Build company image by collaborating with customers and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
Maintain regional data for centralized functions such as fleet and inventory.
Track organizational priorities, organize meetings and track action items and create reports and presentations and other activities as dictated by the business.
Position involves visits to installation sites with region as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
8 years of experience in fiber optic/telecom network construction and engineering, including on-site management of fiber optic telecommunications infrastructure design, construction, installation, and maintenance. Experience must include:
Development and management of project budgets.
Overseeing project expense management, including contractor bidding and management, vendor relations, and ROW agreements with utility companies.
5 years of experience with Transmission Gas Pipeline Linear Rights of Way with respect to maintaining Communication Easements & Environmentally Sensitive Terrain, Safety and understanding of property boundaries with experience resolving 3rd party encroachments.
Experience with AM/GIS Mapping systems.
Experience with Planning and Turnkey Management of Large Expansion Backbone Networks with an emphasis on procurement of Rights of Way & establishing Master Service Agreements with various 3rd parties, Utility & Governmental Agencies.
Experience coordinating project schedules with all involved project teams.
Experience with fiber optic construction project reporting, applying understanding of workflows, customer needs and underlying fiber optic technology.
Experience with root cause analysis of fiber optic network problems.
Experience assessing priority and severity of engineering, construction and maintenance issues and impact on business objectives, technical costs, and user needs.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open deliverables simultaneously.
