Participating in supplier negotiation and purchasing tasks involving copper, steel, aluminum, and other materials, supplies or services;
Reviewing purchase requisitions and placing orders with approved suppliers;
Following up on all awards until completion of order;
Coordinating with the Accounting department as required on resolving questions on suppliers invoices.
EDUCATION: 2-year or 4-year degree preferred but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1
year of related experience;
Knowledge and understanding of forecasting, demands, expediting;
Strong communication and negotiating skills, along with above average analytical skills;
SAP and MRP systems experience;
Fully competent in MS Word and Excel, Access is a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
