Job Description:
Serves as a subject matter expert in supporting F5 load balancers
Perform daily operational tasks submitted by customers through Remedy
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, devices and appliances in support of infrastructure
Prepare network or infrastructure Visio topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance plans and provide status reports as required, participate in data calls and other operational and maintenance tasks
Troubleshoot network problems, network device configurations and coordinate with various department administrators to facilitate connectivity issue resolution
Know and adhere to company policies, procedures and work rules and demonstrate a strong work ethic
Maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels as determined by the company
Complete all assigned training
Requirements:
Requires a B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar; 5
years overall IT experience (in lieu of a degree) working in a large enterprise environment with the internal processes of a federal governmental structure and its mandates
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with clients
Experience with Cisco network technologies
Experience with supporting and maintaining F5 BIGF IP load balancers
Experience with supporting and maintaining wireless networks
Intermediate knowledge of networking and systems administration; and the ability to troubleshoot problems
Experience supporting a data center
Preferred CCNA or similarEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
