Description:
Design and draft mechanical parts and assemblies under guidance of senior project engineers and designers. Complete documentation according to company standards and general design and drafting best practices. Resolve issues with procurement, production, assembly, test and field service as they arise. Implement design changes for existing equipment and machinery. Prepare complete documentation packages for review and production release CAD (both 2-D/CADRA and 3-D/Pro-Engineer) required. Solid experience w/ GD&T, general Design and Drafting standards and best practices. Solid understanding of components and mechanisms in high-speed, high-volume material processing machinery, preferably paper, film, foil or plastic materials in the converting, handling or packaging industries. Self motivated individual to achieve set task schedules and timelines; comfortable in fast moving cross-functional team environments
Main Duties &
Responsibilities:
Experienced Mechanical Engineer in High Speed Paper, Plastic or Material Handling Machinery. Project and Team oriented individual with hands-on, get-the-job-done attitude.
Capable of self-sufficient engineering work participating in cross functional motivated project teams to success.
Skilled and proficient in Methods of Design Engineering, CAD and general Software Applications.
Applicant will be expected to possess good communication skills
Pro Engineer experience a plus. Proficiency in Mechatronics and Innovative Technology applications highly desirable.
Strong design & analytical skills required.
Familiarity with testing methodologies.
Experience with developing and implementing test plans, with particular regard to: o Proof of concept o Life and reliability testing o Data acquisition methods o Statistical analysis of collected data
Responsible for creative concept development through product design (documentation, etc.) and manufacturing release
Familiar with general manufacturing and/or fabrication processes.
Able to troubleshoot complex mechanisms.
May be expected to collaborate closely with external design and/or manufacturing partners.
BSME degree or equivalent req?dEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
