The Judge Group is currently looking for a 3rd shift Production Supervisor with experience working in a baked good production. This person is responsible for directing the operation of shift production, including checking formulas, assigning work tasks, monitoring procedures and schedules to ensure adherence to standards. The position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/MAJOR DUTIES
Lead and monitor the production team, properly instructed in the care and safe operation of equipment
Reviews records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials.
Performs continuous inspections of the product to ensure quality standards are met.
Ensures that all equipment is in good operating condition.
Promotes positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
Ensures a safe working environment for all personnel, enforcement of safety policies and procedures
Responsible for inspections and periodic safety meetings, etc.
Plans and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production.
Ensures employee compliance with work rules.
Assists with employee training.
Makes recommendations on disciplinary action - Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures
JOB FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Experience working in a food / beverage manufacturing, baked goods, bakery
Ability to meet FDA and CDC guidelines of public safety for work in a food production environment
Ability to monitor all temperatures and adjust for any deviations.
Good Written and verbal communication
Ability to read and comprehend production schedule.
Bilingual is a plus
Ability to research, ascertain develop, implement and monitor required policies and procedures.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in all areas of plant production work.
Salary: $48,000 - $52,000Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
