Description:
We are searching for a Senior Technical Operations Engineer with proven deployment, troubleshooting and coordination skills in supporting mission critical web based products. The individual will be a key member of a cross-functional E-Commerce team collaborating with product, engineering, professional services and support teams, on product development and deployment, infrastructure performance and capacity planning, as well as SLA compliance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Incident management:
o Monitoring and first-on-the-scene support and triage of managed infrastructure, services and applications.
o Drive efforts and follow ups to find the root cause
o Continuous improvement, based on the issues discovered ongoing basis
o Prepare and send external RCA document to internal/external customers
o Work with all stakeholders to ensure SLAs are met o Monitor health of production systems using tools such as Splunk, Websitepulse, Nagios etc
o Provide management reports showing system Health and uptime
o Implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
Subject Matter Expert (SME):
o Develop understanding of all product features and company E-Commerce suite
o Project management (Infrastructure based projects)
o Collect requirements from customers, business, sales, service and engineering groups
o Build, maintain and apply E-commerce product hosting related standards
o Provide inputs, requirements for new initiatives
o Design and Implement monitoring solutions Deployment / Support
o Write deployment documents and plans.
o Create network diagrams and process flows
o Create requirements documents for network configuration
o Create security hardening process for OS and Application Monitoring tools and Automation
o Manage and configure monitoring tools such as splunk, Nagios etc
o Identify jobs/tasks that can be automated
o Automate jobs using scripting
o Document and train operations to run these jobs System administration: Work with Partner, Vendor teams for Infrastructure (Servers, Network, Storage, DB etc) related troubleshootingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
