Primary purpose of the role
The Quality Assurance Manager will support and maintain the quality program at Tigers to ensure that processes are operating in accordance with customer and company expectations by coordinating various activities required to meet quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
Accurately developing, monitoring, and analysing KPIs to help improve process performance
Monitoring the performance of the quality management system
Reporting on performance and measuring against set standards
Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring they are met
Actively contributing to waste reduction and process improvement
Developing and maintaining methods that bring in the voice of internal and external customers
Contributing to scorecard and KPI development to ensure accurate measurement of business performance
Applying lean and six sigma initiatives
Implementing different quality tools
Applying statistical and visual methods to draw insights from data
Supporting and promoting quality improvement efforts
Establishing, maintaining and continually improving quality practices
Developing and maintaining procedures that help the company continuously meet or exceed customers expectations
Working closely with stations and sustaining quality programs
Mapping and analyzing processes to reduce waste
Working towards maintaining industry certificates
Coordinating quality practices across all stations
Continuously driving improvement across different business functions
Contributing to quality initiatives
Understanding quality from the perspective of the customer
Preparing clear explanatory documents and reports
Capability Profile
Necessary Skills
Reasoning - Ability to define and analyse a problem, gather necessary information, and draw valid conclusions for problem resolution. Ability to exercise good judgement and make professional decisions.
Technical Must be detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture, be result-driven, and be welcoming of constructive criticism
Technological Good PC proficiency and data analysis skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Social - Ability to work well with customers, in groups, and under own initiative. Ability to develop key working relationships.
Language - Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English. Ability to read, write, and speak in other languages desirable. Ability to communicate professionally via all forms of media, both verbal and written.
Educational/Experiential Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
4
years of quality management experience in a logistics function
Knowledge of quality initiatives in Freight Forwarding and Logistics
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree preferred
Freight and/or Logistics experience preferred
Other Requirements
Must hold USA citizenship, a valid passport, or a work visa
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk; hear; stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and be able to lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
