Experience with both waterfall (requirements writing) and agile (writing stories) preferred. Experience with customer experience design on mobile devices preferred. Analysis, troubleshooting, and a high degree of technical comfort with both Android and iOS preferred. An intermediate level knowledge of mobile/wireless hardware and terminology preferred. Mobile programming skills would be a plus, but this not a development role so programmers are not likely going to be a good fit. Company experience and would be a plus. The manager is willing to consider younger, hungry candidates that don't have financial services experience is the have a lot of Mobile Application experience.
As part of the Solution Delivery organization, the Business Analyst is responsible for delivering quality products to customers by understanding product strategy and customer needs, supporting business cases, developing business requirements, and supporting product development and deployment.
This Business Analyst role will be part of the Personal Investing Solution Delivery team that supports the company Mobile platform including the iOS and Andriod operating systems across a wide variety of devices and form factors.
This role will involve many aspects of the business analyst discipline, but expect a significant portion of the role in Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) / deployment of the mobile releases and analyzing customer feedback. You will work closely with technical development and business stakeholders to ensure application is ready for production release. You will determine the overall BAT and End User Test strategy, execute the plan, evaluate our existing processes and propose solutions to improve quality. You will work with Business teams and End Users to ensure end to end testing throughout the development cycle is comprehensive and we expect the Business Analyst to communicate testing status to other functional teams and management.
This Business Analyst also serves as the business knowledge lead and key advisor for the requirements process. You may be asked to write Business Requirements or Stories? that reflect input and direction from customers and stakeholders. You may also provide ongoing support for the development of technical solutions that meet business needs. Work may include Service Model documentation, training materials, content for the website as well as analysis of financial data for trends, issues, etc. You may be asked to design and development of spreadsheets and databases that gather, store, and report analytical data to support a variety of delivery process and measurement initiatives.
Major responsibilities include:
Lead / Own the overall Business Acceptance Test (BAT) and End User Test strategy and execution plan. Monitor and report the status of the testing and defects.
Over time, build and develop deep domain knowledge (especially in the area of brokerage trading) on the major mobile operating systems and technologies
Participate in requirements, design and specification reviews
Participate in the review of technical deliverables (written and physical)
Use and leverage in-house test tools and techniques
Participate in business testing project planning by writing test plans and test cases based on project requirements and stories.
Maintain an inventory of regression test cases.
Create and manage test data.
Execute test plan and test cases per plan and document test results
Conduct meetings to review, triage and prioritize incidents with developers and business
Coordinate End User testing participants, process and feedback
Manage BAT mobile device inventory
Collect customer feedback and generate themes and potential enhancements written in stories.
Works closely with project manager to determine project task estimates, deadlines, and deliverables, simultaneously working on several projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
3 - 6 years of business experience, with a preference for candidates with some exposure to testing and/or the software development lifecycle (Waterfall or Agile)
Experience with mobile application technology preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfortable with public speaking and leading/owning a process
Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products
Consulting approach to problem solving with a sense of how to build good decision making frameworks
Ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address operation/process issues/improvements to accomplish business objectives.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
