Healthcare Security Shift Supervisor
. In this position, you will be responsible for the security of a health care facility and surrounding campus and property for a designated shift. In this position you will perform general security duties in the protection of persons and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the client. This position is expected to possess the knowledge, skills and ability to respond to all operational situations, while providing adequate guidance and direction to security officers in a timely manner, utilizing experience, training and understanding of client requirements.

Role Responsibility:
Deter criminal activity and misconduct, investigate suspicious situations, conduct patrol tours
Communicate by use of Secure Trax (TM) , 2-way radios, telephones and computers
Patient escort, patient watch, provide safety escort, assist and/or transport deceased to morgue
Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
Complete required shift logs and reports; compliance with site post orders, G4S and client policies and procedures
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
Update payroll as needed and schedule shifts
Conducting on the job training for new personnel
The Ideal Candidate:
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
Must be able to pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
Must possess a minimum of 1 year of supervisory/management experience
Must have one or more of the following:
Law enforcement experience
Service in the Elite Military Forces, Military Police or combat arms
Graduate of Police/Corrections Academy of service in Auxiliary Police or Police
Criminal Justice Degree, Associate or higher

Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State
Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
Physical exam, if armed or required by client contract

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
