Veterans United is seeking an Imaging Audit Specialist to join the Audit Department. As the Imaging Audit Specialist, you are responsible for processing incoming documents for critical business processes by preparing and scanning documents; following state and company regulations for file retention; responding to internal employee requests; and auditing denied/withdrawn files for state exams. This position will not be originating loans.

Responsibilities:
Document Preparation - Prepare, scan, and upload documents to correct server.
File Retrieval - Respond to internal employee requests and deliver/pick-up files as needed
File Audits - Audit post-closing files as they come in for original documents that are needed by the Final Document Auditors. Audit denied/withdrawn/closed for incompleteness files for state exams, as needed.
File Storage - Maintain file storage room to ensure all files are organized and can easily be found. Pull files that need to be retained for an extended period of time and move them to the appropriate holding location. Securely destroy files on site that have met the company's retention policy.
Necessary Skills : High attention to detail and great organizational skills.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of MS Office software
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
Must be able to lift boxes, up to 50 pounds
Be willing to move file boxes in own car with mileage compensation
Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company.
Knowledge of VA loans and benefits a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
