Job Description

The Tax Analyst is responsible for 1) helping the Company remain compliant with tax laws and regulations 2) assisting with the preparation of the quarterly tax provision; and 3) assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategies to minimize our global taxes.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Provision- Assist in the preparation of the annual and quarterly tax provision consistent with the requirements of ASC 740
Prepare domestic income tax provisions
Prepare federal, state, and local uncertain tax position (FIN48) calculations
Assist with the calculation of the consolidated effective tax rate, preparation of SEC reporting disclosures, and preparation of all supporting calculations and workpapers

Compliance- Assist in the preparation and review of various tax returns
Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns
Assist with completion of tax return e-file packages
Assist in resolving federal and state tax notices and audits; prepare information responses for federal income tax audits
Assist as needed with property taxes, sales and use taxes, and all other reporting responsibilities of the Company's tax group

Advisory Services- Help leaders throughout the organization understand relevant tax issues to assist them in making the best decision for the Company
Assist with advising on tax-efficient structuring of planned transactions
Prepare financial and tax modeling of impact of planned transactions
Prepare forecasts of cash tax payments

Planning and Research
Maintain existing structures that drive tax benefits
Assist in the development of new ideas to generate cash tax savings
Review and research federal income tax treatment of Company transactions
Required Skills

Project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing environment
Professional oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with field controllers and senior management
Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and administrative skills
Ability to research, analyze and document conclusions related to state tax issues
Ability to manage, interpret, and report on highly fragmented, often voluminous data
Working knowledge of software programs for tax return preparation and research as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Corptax and SAP is a plus
Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. Advanced Degree in tax preferred
Desire to obtain CPA is strongly preferred
0-4 years of tax experience
