This position will be located at our SCS Inverness Office in Birmingham, AL
_JOB SUMMARY_
This position serves as a training coordinator whose role is to solve organizational and individual performance needs or accelerate development by providing a wide range of customer focused learning and developmental consulting services. Includes, but nor limited to, performance analysis, management and coordination of curriculum/program design and delivery. Responsibilities include actual development of curriculum/program from beginning concept through implementation.
_JOB REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES_ _(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills ) _
Experience in the training field is required (preferred experience within the range of topics from hydroelectric, coal, or natural gas power generation, or associated engineering fields).
Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Computer proficiency with other Microsoft tools - Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience/proficiency in Plateau (now SuccessFactors) Learning Management System is required.
Experience/proficiency in Maximo/Oracle software, especially purchase requisitions / account coding required.
Experience/proficiency in Articulate Studio '13 preferred.
Excellent Microsoft Windows Explorer files management skills.
College diploma or university degree highly preferred.
Experience in researching and developing training curriculum highly preferred.
Technical writing, communications, facilitation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
_JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_
With minimal direction,
Apply various training tools and resources within the E&CS; and power generation organizations.
Coordinate procurement, scheduling, enrollment, delivery, payment, and proper documentation of training sessions, ensuring that individual training records of attendees accurately reflect acquired training.
Use performance analysis and consulting skills to identify areas of client need/performance gaps and develop learning strategies (where appropriate) to resolve them.
Engage in curriculum planning and development, training design and development. Includes specification of learner outcomes (goals and objectives), content specification and design, selection of instructional delivery formats, strategies and media, materials, and ensuring continuity from course to course.
Apply various aspects of adult education, including classroom, on-the-job, self-paced instruction, and other educational technologies as related to specific content.
Initial vendor program assessment, acquisition, coordination, and program evaluation.
Initiate, plan, organize, monitor, and report own work and provide leadership to project teams.
Develop cost estimates for new and customized programs, manage costs and expenses within program budget, and track and report budget variances.
Initiation and processing of purchase requisitions and invoicing through the Enterprise Solutions tools.
