ROLE SYNOPSIS
The field specialist will run multiple applications of medium risk under supervision and assist with the installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment associated with onshore oil and water wells.
Lift systems product line provides artificial lift systems, including electric submersible pumps (ESP) and progressive cavity pump systems, as well as specific engineering, project management and well monitoring services. Centrilift ESP systems can operate in harsh downhole environments that include high gas-to-oil ratio production, heavy oil, high temperatures and abrasive-laden fluids.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensures supplied equipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job.
Provides front-line support with customer and accurately completes all paperwork prior to or upon completion of job.
Assists with testing downhole ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
The position involves frequent travel on domestic assignments and time away from home, often at short notice.
May be required to act as team leader.
Monitors, trouble shoots and tests downhole ESP equipment including Downhole Monitoring Tools in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
Assists with the set up and startup of Centrilift Motor Controllers and VSD's.
Handles special projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED.
Some industry experience and product line training required.
Strong communication skills.
Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Two year Technical Degree preferred.
3
years oilfield related experience preferred.
Competent in running multiple applications of medium risk in one or more product lines in the Wellbore Intervention Product Group.
May be competent in running lower risk applications in other product groups.
OTHER DETAILS
Can work outdoors in any type of weather.
Will work in the dirt/rig sites; wearing PPE/HSE attire.
Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
