Responsibilities: Provide strong technical support to the front line technical advisors and marketing/sales Provides specialist product application expertise on one or more lubricant applications by analyzing problems, generating solutions and advising customers, supporting, when called upon, the front line technical advisors (LTAs) and key account/Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sales teams Operating across a wide geographical area (primarily North America, but also Latin Americas direct and indirect markets) and playing a key role in the retention of existing business, providing high level technical support for business development, and enhancing Shell Lubricant s reputation in the marketplace work closely on support of Global Key Accounts, application problem solving, OEM approvals, Marketing and Technology Leadership, Knowledge Management support and coaching and training of front-line sales and technical staff Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship Must have a minimum of a Bachelor s degree, preferably in chemistry, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering Must have at least five (5) years of experience working in the Industrial Sector, ideally with a heavy industry OEM Prefer relevant experience of Industrial Lubricants, especially in the heavy industries preferably including metals sector, pulp and paper sectors, mining sector, general manufacturing sectors, power sector Proven ability to work in teams including virtually Proven communications skills, written and verbal; ability to converse and develop technical communications in English and sound handling of English language (written and spoken) Proven ability to manage customer expectations and build up relationship with mutual trust Additional Information: The role is based in Houston, but the successful candidate can opt to work remotely. If the chosen candidate opts to work remotely, there will be frequent travel to Houston, as well as other sites in North and South America Expected travel is 50% in with Manufacturer advisors Must sectors BETS_ARC_Setter BACH_a33d1aEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
