A global automotive components manufacturer near Niles, MI is looking for a Quality Engineer to support their metal machining and fabrication facility. This position is open due to recent growth and 90% travel is required. The Quality Engineer will work with customers, suppliers and other internal engineers to determine dimensional, physical and functional characteristics of new parts, and to continuously work to improve production processes. The Quality Engineer will be the primary customer contact for the assigned product lines. A 4-year degree from an accredited university is required along with at least 5 years of automotive quality engineering experience. Candidates must have experience in a TS16949 environment and be able to lead APQP, PPAP and FMEA activities. Experience with internal auditing, root cause analysis, complaint investigations and supplier control is required. A solid history of customer development is required. CQE, CQA, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certifications are pluses. Hands-on experience with statistics (SPC, DOE, Cpk, etc) is strongly preferred. Candidates with a stable work record and recent automotive metal part manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
