Job Description: Recruiter positions will be dedicated to serve the Florida Transforming Resources for Accelerated Education (Florida TRADE) and the Community College Consortium for Bioscience Credentials (C3BC) grants with St. Petersburg College. Targeted Participants: Workers who have lost their jobs or are at-risk of losing their job as a result of foreign trade (Trade Adjustment Assistance eligible workers) as well as veteran and dislocated incumbent workers.
Basic functions include outreach, referrals and supportive services. Provides job placement and job retention services to program participants. Incumbent will also be responsible for required reporting.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Recruits program participants.
Refers identified participants interested in manufacturing jobs or who have a background in manufacturing related fields.
Maintains communication with St. Petersburg College staff.
Provides job placement requirements as per listed program outcomes.
Hosts multiple recruiting events in partnership with St. Petersburg College and industry partners and associations.
Provides follow-up services to participants and graduates of the program.
Responsible for Quarterly Program Progress Reports.
Prepares Time and Effort reports of assigned staff
Participants in scheduled meetings and occasional conferences as necessary.
Provides reporting through the organization's corporate requirements.
Identifies new community contacts and ideas for publicizing the program.
Answers phones.
Implements marketing/job placement plans.
Initiates sales and public relations activity required to place job seekers in training or into full-time employment. Contacts employment sources and maintains record.
Maintains participant information to accurately report all performance elements.
Works in conjunction with the Regional Manufacturing Representative and St. Petersburg College staff.
Work Environment: Office and site visits.
Days & Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. 40 hrs/wk. Hours and days may vary based upon special events such as job fairs.
Pay: $15.00 per hour.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
