SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for obtaining, verifying demographics and financial information to determine patients source of payment to secure reimbursement of services.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the American Disability Act
(ADA).
? Performs intake and verification of patient demographic information and pre-authorization, as required.
? Determine eligibility for sliding fee adjustment and entitlement programs.
? Research the status of all unpaid bills and implement a collection process to resolve non-payment balances at the time of the visit.
? Schedules walk-in patients, with Practice Management System by coordinating with the departments.
? Informs patient of all their fiscal responsibilities and answer patients questions related to the payment process.
QUALIFICATIONS
? High School diploma/Business Institutional Certification or three (3) years relevant experience with practice Management Systems.
? Knowledge of billing and collection procedures in a medical setting.
? Ability to prioritize and handling multiple tasks.
? Excellent Interpersonal skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
