Counts money from Table Game and Slot (Bill Validator) drop boxes and provides accurate totals. Inputs count data into count room computer systems.
Sorts, counts, and records contents of table game drop boxes and currency drop boxes, according to set procedures. Responsible for balancing funds and create daily reports. Operates Currency Counter equipment and conducts minor repairs and maintenance. Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah''s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous money-handling experience is preferred and must be able to work graveyard, any day of the week. Knowledge of adding machine, computer terminal operation, and currency counting machine skills helpful. Basic mechanical (repair) ability preferred. Prior count room or money handling experience (casino or bank) is preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Candidate must have a well-groomed appearance.
Must be able to maneuver in and around all count rooms. Must be able to push, pull carts and carry up to 25 pounds of boxes filled with currency. Must be able to stoop, bend, or kneel, crouch to remove bill validators from drop cart and be able to pick up currency dropped on the floor. Must be able to grip objects and have good finger movement when counting and handling currency. Must be able to differentiate the denominations of chips and authenticity of currency and must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Candidate must be able to operate a computer, ten key adding machine and currency counter. Adhere to Regulatory, Departmental and Company Polices. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English and be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
