Software Engineer 3 Quality
We have an immediate contract opportunity with a large F500 client in the Timonium, MD area.
oUse your Java programming skills to perform highly technical testing across a suite of financial products. Work closely with a cross-functional team including business leaders, development engineers, scrum masters, and project managers to execute testing within an extremely fast-paced agile environment. Participate in agile scoring meetings, user story development and test case reviews. Develop backend data-driven test cases using Selenium. Take advantage of a prime opportunity to sharpen your technical skills, learn the Payments and Credit business and potentially spring board into Development.
oJob Requirements
o4
years in Software Quality Engineering experience with a good understanding of QA methodology;
oCore Java programming proficiency is required; Strong and Extensive exposure to design test strategy and test plans for complex applications;
oExperience with Software Testing Methodologies to certify Service oriented architecture products;
oExperience with scripting languages like Perl/Python/Ruby/Shell is required;
oExperience in Unix based Testing environment;
oExperience applying different Test Frameworks with any notable test automation tools, preferably Selenium;
oExperience testing data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.), including strong SQL skills;
oThorough understanding of internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, etc.);
oExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate across business and technical teams; Remote communication with groups across North
oStrong understanding of industry best practices such as software refactoring;
oSelf-starter / demonstrated ability to initiate and drive continuous improvement;
oStrong debugging and problem resolution skills;
oBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and MCSC is preferred;
