World class supplier of premium products to the Aerospace and Commercial Market OEMs is seeking an experienced senior metallurgist.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering or related
A minimum of 5 years' experience in metallurgical, engineering or other related field
Experience in Aerospace forging using titanium and/or nickel based super alloys ideal
Strong working knowledge of quality systems and specifications is required
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Act as a technical contact for both internal and external customers
Supervise two metallurgists
Manage processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings
Conduct metallurgical failure analysis and disposition
Maintain new part introduction (NPI), including final review of qualification packages
Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve established targets
Release hardware for production as specified on purchase orders, blueprints or other documents
Review new and revised technical specificationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
