Civil Engineer / Land Development - 4 to 6 Years Experience

Langan has an opening for a Civil Engineer with land development focus in our Arlington, VA office. The successful candidate ideally will have 4 to 6 years of local and related site/civil land development engineering design experience. The successful new hire will assist with designing commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and Federal properties located in the U.S. and internationally. Individuals must possess an energetic and professional demeanor, as well as, strong technical and communication skills.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Master degree preferred;
Ideally will possess 4 to 6 years of related site/civil land development experience;
Knowledge of Virginia, Maryland, or D.C. municipal land use law is a plus;
Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related designs;
Demonstrated AutoCAD (required) or Civil 3D (preferred) skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion;
Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment;
Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver's license in good standing;
Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends; and,
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
