The Truck Driver Light will address customer needs, pick-up and deliver parts for VDOT sites, and assist with inventory control.
Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following:
1. Attention to detail
2. Meet and greet customers
3. Review supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)
4. Answer questions regarding availability of parts
5. Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided
6. Inform customers when requested parts are available
Parts Pickup
1. Drive vehicle to designated vendors' locations to purchase/pick-up parts
2. Provide company documentation to vendors as required (tax exempt form, credit references)
3. Review all invoices at vendor location to ensure accuracy on pricing and quantities
4. Return products to MANCON location in a timely fashion
Data Entry Requirements
1. Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system
2. Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system
Inventory Management Requirements
1. Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle counts
2. Assist in performing counts during Wall to Wall inventories at site
Other Requirements
1. Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance
2. Provide 24 hour support at the VDOT location during emergencies
3. Travel to vendor locations to pickup parts
4. Assist with inventory research projects as requested
5. Adhere to required procedures
6. Assist with Store Manager duties as assigned
24-hour availability
Valid Driver's License with two years driving experience
1 year Computer experience
Attention to detail and adhere to required procedures
Parts/Inventory computer experience
Light truck driving experience
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
