This position is located in the High Desert District with a duty station of Rawlins, WY. The High Desert District encompasses the Rawlins, Kemmerer and Pinedale Field Offices. The district includes significant natural resources and land management issues that have national and regional impact. Resources managed in the district include the world''s largest deposit of trona and the second ranked gas field in the nation. The district is responsible for integrating public land uses with emerging green energy sources such as wind. The district also helps manage oil and gas development, the transport of energy, management and protection of wild horses, and land conservation. The Rawlins Field Office area is mostly high plains with sagebrush and meadows with brilliant colors. The area also has high timbered mountains, world class big game hunting and blue ribbon trout streams. Camping opportunities are limitless and there are lakes and reservoirs for fishing and watercraft adventures to be found. Direct Deposit Required
You will serve as a Support Dispatcher (Logistics) located in an interagency dispatch center with high program complexity. The area involved encompasses federal, state and private lands within the dispatch center''s area of influence. The center is responsible primarily for wildland fire preparedness, suppression support activities but may respond to all risk incidents as needed or directed. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a wide range of fire dispatch, logistical and administrative support functions.
Physical Demands: The work requires long hours of sitting and intense concentration with irregular breaks and mealtimes. To qualify for the GS-05 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the federal service as a dispatcher or in a directly related position OR successful completion of a 4-year course of study above high school in any field OR have an equivalent combination of specialized experience and education. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. Your rating will be based on your responses to the Job Specific Questionnaire and the information stated in your resume. If you meet the qualification requirements, your application will be placed in one of three categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified. Knowledge of wildland fire dispatch procedures and guidelines used in dispatch of personnel, equipment and supplies in support of wildland fire management activities.
Knowledge of wildland fire management computer programs and data output to apply information to dispatch procedures and functions.
Ability to collect, process, and submit incident information to support intelligence activities.
Knowledge of expanded dispatch operations.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing and work in a team setting under stressful conditions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
