Eaton Corporation in Beltsville, MD has an opening for a Production Scheduler. This person will create & release achievable production schedules based on demand, capacity & material availability and monitor performance against plan and support & lead improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess the following
Qualifications:
Essential Functions:
Communicates the production plan to manufacturing and ensures that operators are following the plan via electronic management and through visual controls i.e. heijunka boards
Participates and presents work order information in daily tier meetings.
Sequences work orders by the key capacity constraint in each work center. Reschedules uncompleted work orders on a daily basis.
Ensures timely releases of work orders to the shop floor. Manages the work orders within the firm and released time fence.
Leads the weekly release meeting and schedule adherence meeting with operations and supply chain.
Determines Kanban container quantities and bin sizes for lean work cells.
Participates in monthly SIOP reviews to ensure adequate demand and capacity exist within appropriate planning horizon.
Performs finite scheduling of work orders in consideration of key constraints. Optimizes setup time between work orders by releasing similar product groups
Develops visual management systems for material flow for shop floor execution and establishes mins and maxes in stockrooms for runner/repeater parts.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in any of the following areas (SCM, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Finance, or Accounting.)
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ''Green Card Holder''), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
