Summary:
The Advanced Intelligence Division of Leidos has an opening for a Junior Field Support Engineer. Work will be performed at Ft Riley, KS. The Intermediate candidate will support the CECOM SEC Field Support Directorate (FSD) support to be provided to the Warfighter worldwide for garrison, exercise, combat operations and contingencies to the users of strategic and tactical command, control, and communications (C3) systems, logistics management systems, and organic FSSE and trainer support to the OCONUS mission command training centers (MCTCs). The FSSE shall support deployment exercises with field software engineering, over the shoulder training and consulting with users, providing on-site systems analysis techniques and procedures, diagnostic and corrective actions, and capturing, documenting, and reporting requirements.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
The Junior Field Support Engineer shall provide software engineering support, apply systems analysis techniques and procedures, provide system installation support and consult with users for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Increment 1 (WIN-T Inc 1). The WIN-T Inc 1 is a communications network that provides the Army Warfighter with voice, data and video capabilities for use in a tactical environment, utilizing primarily commercial off-the-shelf equipment. This system of systems includes the following equipment: Unit Hub Node, Regional Hub Node, Single Shelter Switch (SSS), Joint Network Nodes (JNN), Battalion Command Post Nodes (BnCPN), Network Operations (NetOps), JNN and BnCPN Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs), and Master Reference Terminals (MRTs).
Primary duties include:
Performs analysis of system operations.
Knowledge of and experience in the utilization of operating systems and database management systems.
Must have experience in systems analysis, fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices.
Ability to perform system configuration and modifications.
Submit Engineering Change Proposal (ECPs) as needed for system enhancements, upgrades, and fixes.
Possesses substantial background in communications and communications connectivity.
Experience with systems and systems operations within the specific functional area to which assigned.
Responsible for performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment based upon user and system design specifications.
May make technical presentations and has a strong knowledge of products.
Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
Represents the company in a customer support role and is responsible for customer''s satisfaction with equipment and servicing.
Employee may deploy and must be able to meet minimum standards of fitness and able to complete pre-deployment training and processing as of hire date.

or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required (4 years additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree)
IAT level II certification
Active Secret clearance
Field Support Software Engineers personnel working on this task order shall satisfy the standards of fitness for deployability to the most-demanding region of the world for which SEC FSD provides field support personnel. These standards of fitness include general physical, mental, and dental health standards, medication requirements, and body mass index (BMI) calculations, but do not include maintenance of current vaccinations for every region.
