Position Duties:
Vehicle Integration Core Engineers support the program teams as the Voice of the Customer by defining the Vehicle Integration process, leading attribute achievement and championing identification/resolution of customer issues.
Lead cross functional team to follow processes in developing new corporate requirements.
Gather customer research and benchmark competitive vehicles to support requirement development.
Lead vehicle program team to meet attribute requirements such as dust intrusion, wrecker towing, environmental condition (Extreme cold and hot), water wading, car wash, water run-off, vehicle top speed, off-road and trailer tow.
Conduct CAD checks and vehicle level tests to ensure total vehicles meet the attribute requirements.
Lead cross functional team to resolve issues identified during CAD checks or physical tests, and present attribute status at vehicle program milestones.
Provide critical assessment of forward-model products for issues that impact Customer Satisfaction, incorporating competitive and Customer Quality Indicator analysis.
Document and champion Customer Issues though Vehicle Program Team and Executive Escalation forums.
Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and Corporate tracking systems to document issues and solutions.
Assist in training all Product Engineers to robustly apply this same level of customer focus to their designs.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Knowledgeable in product development process in automotive or similar industry
Vehicle Attribute, Feature Balancing, Vehicle Integration OR Vehicle Engineering knowledge or experience
Ability to interface and communicate effectively
Possess analytical skills to identify diagnose and resolve issues
Proficient in MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Possession of Valid Current US Drivers License
