Are you an experienced Application Administrator ready to take responsibility for the installation, maintenance, operation, and support of multiple applications? Can you be and advocate for our new SharePoint 2013 platform , ready to assist our business users in site creation and workflow definitions? Would you like to work with the technology team that is building the new intranet, collaboration and knowledge platform for The Jackson Laboratory?
If so, The Jackson Laboratory has a great opportunity for you in beautiful Down East Maine. We are seeking a Programmer / Analyst with solid experience designing and building applications using the Microsoft .Net Framework, SharePoint Platform in addition to other web application technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with all members of the Web Development Team and the user community to administer applications for an integrated collaboration platform, customer portal and other web based projects.
Responsibilities:
Provide application specific setup and configuration.
Maintain operational documentation.
Collaborate with System Admin. To ensure application level backups are performed per the defined SLA
Monitor application performance
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve problems affecting application performance, efficiency, and availability
Provide reports on application performance and availability
Keeps current with the latest technology; regularly attends technical training in order to maintain technical expertise.

Ability to maintain and configure Web Front End Servers (IIS, etc.)

Creation of power shell scripts
Development of Web Forms, SharePoint Sites, Libraries, and Complex Workflows
Required Experience

A bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science or related field.
3 years of experience with providing administrative support to web servers for internet and intranet
3 years of experience as application administrator for medium size SharePoint Farm
