The Manager of Infrastructure Operations will be responsible for the following:
The Manager of Infrastructure Operations is responsible for leading a high-performance technical team of network & system engineers who provide infrastructure services, support, and deployment of new technology in support of initiatives across two diverse business lines
This role requires a technical visionary adept at network and systems solutioning, capacity planning, tactical project management, and operational excellence.
Strong communication/diplomacy skills is a must as this department is the hub of all things technical and its success requires a leader who can interface cooperatively with various departments.
Provide strategic direction on emerging technologies and determine appropriate use within business applications and how that best plays to the overall organizational strategy.
Oversee all change management, related audit (PCI, SOX) activities associated with server, network and application environment including documentation requirements, scheduled outages, fall-back procedures, etc.
Responsible for proactive monitoring and adherence to escalation procedures (during and after hours) to alerts from systems under Infrastructure Operations control.
Responsible for delivery of Incident Reports documenting production outages and detailing root cause analysis and action items to eliminate repeat occurrences.
The Manager of Infrastructure Operations must have the following skills:
70/30 management to hands-on responsibilities
Deploy, configure and maintain infrastructure services such as core networking, switching, firewall, VPN, email, SAN, virtualization, backups, and Active Directory.
Responsible for data center operations and capacity planning.
Create and present monthly operational reports to senior management demonstrating operational health and transparency into your team's productivity and diligence.
Assist in defining appropriate technology standards to use within the company's existing architecture.
The Manager of Infrastructure Operations must meet the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
Demonstrated progressive career advancement.
A minimum of 3 years management experience inclusive of departmental budgeting and forecasting.
Strong hands-on network & server background with at least four years in a 24/7/365 mid-senior infrastructure operations role.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco routers and switches, firewalls (Palo Alto is a plus) VPN technology, circuit provisioning/infrastructure cabling, and network provider management.
Demonstrated experience with network and server monitoring and response.
Demonstrated experience with Windows 2008/2012, Microsoft Exchange, strong Active Directory skills with a focus on Group Policy.
Demonstrated experience with VMware, HP Blades, SAN technology (NetApp is a plus)
