Computer Systems Engineer (Senior Principal Consultant)

Duties: Analyze data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems; responsible for budget status tracking, data analysis and collection analysis; prepare and review work-papers; provide technical guidance regarding information systems, technology architecture, and security; conduct design process improvements by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts, and diagrams; prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information/trends; work with technical quality assurance oversight capacity to support security matters pertaining to process quality and delivery of various service offerings; provide subject matter experience in various forms of IDS, Firewall, Application and Operating System technologies; track progress toward gap resolution of issues identified; support continuous process improvement; monitor project progress by tracking activity and resolve problems.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Engineering, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include: regulatory standards in banking and insurance domain including SOX, CoBIT, MiFID, BASEL, and HIPPA; applications using various communication protocols such as NAT, TACAS, RADIAS, PBX, RCP, SSH, NFS, NIS/NIS+; automation testing tools ; directory services including LDAP, Active Directory; agile configuration management tools; monitoring tools such as TripWire, Wireshark; Autosys, Job, Oracle Job Scheduler; certifying test cases for financial risk applications; N/W and gateway devices such as Barrcuda Websecurity, Websense, SNORT, IP Tables, Checkpoint F/W; ETL Tools such as Informatica, Ab-Initio, or similar freeware ETL Tools; web application servers such as WAS, Oracle iplanet, Tomcat; shell (ksh/bash) scripting and Perl Scripting. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
