Qualifications :
BD is searching for a temporary leader for North America Total Rewards while an active search is going on to fill the role on a regular basis.
The successful candidate will partner with the Vice President in the design and implementation of all regional reward (Compensation. Benefits, Retirement and Wellness) programs.
He/she will be responsible for providing oversight and direction to the Shared Service Center for rewards related activities. Incumbent will be responsible for aligning our total rewards strategy to business priorities and ensure market competitiveness.
Incumbent will be a thought partner and advisory to the organization in delivering total rewards strategic agenda and developing compensation packages.
Knowledge of current and future rewards trends and practices. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale change in a complex, matrix environment.
Hands on knowledge in successfully designing, implementing and managing compensation, benefits, retirement and wellness plans/programs.
In depth compensation and US benefits experience, including working knowledge of US Healthcare Reform. Excellent leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to manage others directly and indirectly, while fostering a team-oriented environment.
Strong analytical, quantitative and qualitative capabilities required.
Demonstrated ability to quickly assess and resolve issues, while translating complex information into concise and understandable terms.
Vendor relationship management and negotiation experience. Track record of successfully implementing total rewards solutions.
At least 15 years progressive rewards related experience.
Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree and Benefits related professional certification desirable.
Responsibilities:
-Designs regional rewards (compensation, benefits, retirement & wellness) plans and programs.
-Gains regional market insights (e.g. through surveys, networking, competitive analysis, and modeling) as well as business insights, then builds a business case to obtain buy-in and support for change.
-Builds a culture of wellness, aligned to the global wellness strategy through programs designed to educate employees on total well-being, reinforce healthy behaviors and optimize healthcare costs.
-Evaluates the effectiveness of regional and global plans and programs.
-Contribute to the development of global policies and responsible for localizing policies, communications, guidelines, templates and tools to align with business needs. Trains HR colleagues to enable onward communication.
-Consultant, thought partner and advisory to businesses, regions, functions and HR colleagues in delivering total rewards strategic agenda and developing employee rewards packages.
-Develops and delivers rewards capability interventions, communications and tools for HR, leaders and employees.
-Supports the training and development of Shared Service Center team members to effectively deliver rewards activities, keeping a focus on continuous improvement.
-Ensures regulatory compliance and drives adherence to HR operating model.
-Accountable for regional rewards governance to ensure equity and compliance and serves as rewards process owner (e.g. annual compensation process, benefits open enrollment, etc.). Leads and/or supports various rewards initiatives as required.
-Selects, reviews and monitors vendors performance to achieve ROI. Management of regional rewards related budget.
