Prefers candidate with prior hands on development experience within Microsoft stack
Project Manager ? with a technical background, responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects. Also, needs experience developing program strategy, supporting the business case and various enterprise wide high-level project plans at once. With the ability to track and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, to deliver a quality product to the business, on time and within budget, while meeting the strategic business requirements for the project. Requires advanced abilities for tracking project milestones setting up operational procedures and recommending adjustments to Project Managers, when needed. Communicating the program strategy, direction and changes with IT leadership, business leadership and IT business consultants. Partnering with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Needs hands on experience developing financial business applications and delivering them on time and within budget. Needs to be able to work with, manage a team of IT professional.
Required: advanced degrees - In Computer Science, Business, Mathematic, Engineering and other related field or equivalent work experience; 12
years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 6 years of experience in a leadership role and 6 years managing projects.
The candidate will require PMO skills, Project Management and Budgeting experience
This is not a coding position. A large company financial background is required, and an understanding and development of high-quality and high-performance applications on a Microsoft technology stack is required. (.Net, SQLSERVER, etc?) An understanding of middle-ware concepts a plus as well as Business Continuity Planning and DR planning background a strong a plus
The candidate needs to understand Commercial Insurance and the Underwriting process. The candidate will need to support and work with datacenter personnel to troubleshoot and keep the applications running.
The candidate will needs to lead and mentor staff, and participate with an experienced, an energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
