Job Description:
Title : Data Scientist
Location : Woodcliff Lake, NJ
Duration : Long term. PERM/Contract W2/C2C
Interview : Phone Screen Followed By F2F.
Job duties
In this role, you will work with other statisticians who are developing models and programming in R, and you will document the models, the inputs and outputs and logic, etc. so that it can be understood by less technical people, i.e. regulators or people with different technical skills, i.e. software developers.
Describe and document statistical tools and models which facilitate and improve data regression, manipulation, and analysis
Concisely summarize real-world implications of findings from custom projects and the value proposition of real-world offerings
Present documentation both in writing and verbally to software developers and business decision makers
Consult and communicate statistical modeling results into measures of business impact
Experience:
Ph.D. or Masters (M.S.) in Statistics, Decision Sciences, Economics, Physics, or Mathematics required
Proficient with R, SPSS, SAS, Alteryx, or other statistical software
Extremely competent in quantitative and qualitative analysis, regression, data manipulation, and critical thinking
Ability to distill large amounts of information into key findings
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills and an ability to explain complex systems both internally and to clients
Strong Data Visualization experience on prior Big Data projects
Strong User Interface/Human Factors experience or equivalent
Statistical background, education or training to understand statistical modeling and analysis and Econometrics
