either Day Shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm or Swing Shift 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm either Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday.
However, all candidates must be able to work all shifts, holidays and weekends in a network operations center environment.
The period of performance is July 3, 2014 - December 31, 2014
Skills and
Experience:
Develops and prepares system documentation, gathering specific information related to the project and applicable technical material.
Familiarity with the use and deployment of SNMP based network and systems monitoring tools
Conduct incident, problem, and change management functions in an enterprise environment.
Possess the ability to document requirements, maintain and update technical documentation, and accurately measure system performance against targets and report on changes or upgrades to existing systems, monitor system performance and evaluate areas to improve efficiency.
Familiarity with SNMPv3, DNS, & TCP/IP based routing
Familiarity Unix/Linux based operating systems and network monitoring solutions.
Experience with HP OpenView and CA eHealth a plus.

Security Clearance:
TOP SECRET security clearance is required. Access to classified information, including SECRET and TOP SECRET, is required in performance of this project. Position requires Information Technology (IT) IT-I (privileged level systems access).
Objectives:
The contractor shall support a continuously manned component within the Joint Operations Support Center (JOSC) located in the Pentagon or Site-R as dictated by mission requirements. This component is responsible for performing system and network monitoring of the assets at the Joint Staff designated critical and special interest sites, and any other duties associated with this mission as specified in this PWS, from two centralized locations. This task requires shift work coverage 24x7x365, including holidays. The current shift structure consists of 3 shifts, day shift, swing shift, and mid shift. The day shift starts at 0600 and ends at 1430. The swing shift starts at 1400 and ends at 2230. The mid shift starts at 2200 and ends at 0630.
Specific Tasks:
Provide continuous on-site proactive monitoring of all GCCS-J critical sites, and other designated systems, as determined by the Government, using a specific suite of monitoring applications on a 24-hours-per-day, seven days-per-week basis.
The current approved applications for use are HP Openview Network Node Manager (NNM), CA eHealth & SystemEDGE, What's Up Gold and Worldview (GOTS).
Execute all monitoring and fault isolation functions as required.
Implement and maintain Configuration Management Processes and procedures as defined by Government Representative(s) as designated by Contracting Office or Task Monitor using tools as specified.
Provide system performance analysis support, update performance Standard Operating Procedures as needed, and provide resources to maintain the GMC application performance toolset.
Provide system reporting and proper notification of degradation in performance of monitored systems as required.
Build, secure and maintain Unix and Windows servers in accordance with the DoD, NSA, and DISA security and Information Assurance requirements.
Work in small teams performing system monitoring and maintenance of and provides troubleshooting for highly complex systems and network solutions
Works on teams in system engineering efforts and provides direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for systems.
Directly interfaces with customers regarding incidents and system status.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six to nine years of direct experience in related system operations efforts. In lieu of bachelor's degree, an additional two years of direct experience is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
