## Description
On April 28th, 2014 Toyota announced it is uniting its separate headquarters locations in North America-including Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., Toyota Financial Services, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. and Toyota Motor North America- to a single, shared campus in North Dallas Community of Plano, Texas. In addition, we are also expanding our Technical Center on the York campus near Ann Arbor, Michigan and constructing a new facility on Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky's campus in Georgetown, KY to house Production Engineering.
This position is currently located at Erlanger, Kentucky andto Plano, Texas by 2017.
The basic purpose of the position is to support continued growth and added complexity of logistics management systems in North America
Position will be directly supporting collaborative cost reduction activity that is tightly linked to process kaizen
This position will provide leadership and direction for logistics related activities - including part localization, new model launch, network kaizen / optimization
Position will support complex network analysis, problem solving and project management / implementation
This position closely supports TEMA AF, Purchasing and CSD , as well as all NAMCs in the planning and implementation of reduction effort and new model launches.
Cost Planning:
Analysis of current an future component and vehicle cost
Development and implementation of cost reduction items
Report vehicle cost estimates to Toyota Executive Leadership
New Model Project Management:
Lead the planning and implementation of new model supply chain
Effectively manage projects utilizing Gated Management KPI
Visualize and report project status to Toyota Executive Leadership
Network Strategic Planning:
Deep analysis of Toyota supply chain, considering all variables
Develop long range strategic plan to achieve ideal network
Lead the implementation of network optimization
Resolve Problems:
Problem solve vehicle profitability for NA an OS logistics
Close gaps in new model development process in effort to achieve new model launch targets
Develop business plans and strategies:
Develop and implement integrated Toyota Supply Chain in North America
Develop and implement Supply Chain project management role for NA and OS
