JOB DUTIES: Support Global Power Sales (GPS), Sales, Tender & Capture teams, Project Execution, Power Service etc. with promotions of technical details during the pre-acquisition and tender process for influencing specifications and evaluation criteria; responsible for promotions to clients (utilities, IPPs, EPC contractors) and non-client entities (insurers, bankers, consultants etc.) in line with the approved communication strategy; represent Alstom in industry seminars and events; based on the Gas North America business strategy identify Regional Product messaging and develop/continuously update standard product presentation material, reference list, Internet, Intranet, conference plan, technical papers and articles; support the development of Product Introduction Plans for new products and features and drive the promotional part of the Regional Product Introduction Plan; coordinate and author technical papers and articles for publications and conferences within the region; and organize and participate in /conduct trainings for updating GPS, Sales, Tender & Capture teams on Gas Business products and latest offerings; observe market trends and consolidate competitive intelligence feedback to Market/Product Intelligence Analyst and Product/Platform Managers; analyze customers quotation requests (RFQ) and establish tender feedback workshops/reports supporting specification of future products.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field; and 3 years of work experience in job offered or 3 years of work experience in an Engineering-related occupation. Experience must include: Designing gas turbine components and gas turbine auxiliary systems in design, engineering and service; combined cycle and Balance of Plants; hands-on experience working on-site at power plants with control room end users on troubleshooting operational problems and identifying upgrade opportunities, published presentations at technical conferences. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
