Under general supervision, the Business Analyst will support a DHS components Mission Support team responsible for several large projects. Tasks include defining current state processes through business process modeling, developing performance measures, facilitating change management conversations, analyzing data to create effective presentations and customer outreach. Candidate will support small team of program managers and other analysts.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Assist with collection and assessment of quantitative and qualitative data
Write approaches, summaries, evaluation and results, and perform research
Assist with the drafting of documents, reports, briefings and other client deliverables
Generally work under a supervisor, but may also interact independently with clients to accomplish tasks
Support development of process models, as well as assist with performing gap analysis
Engage with technology and business stakeholders and serve as a liaison between stakeholders and project management
Provide analytical support to ensure the program is achieving its purpose
Support the development and presentation of briefings for related project areas
Across work products and project areas, the candidate will generally be expected to:
Review deliverables for content, alignment to client scope, adherence to best practices and standards, and readability
Understand and interpret client needs and requests
Perform tasks on time and with high level of attention to detail
Demonstrate excellence and professionalism in written and oral communication
Report weekly and monthly status, and attend regular status meetings

Qualifications:

years of experience
Preferred exposure to management consulting or business advisory services
Self-starter with a great deal of initiative and willing to contribute to a small business
Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint skills
Background including business process analysis a plus
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written communication skills
Experience in federal government sector
Experience with agile methodology and SharePoint
Bachelor's degree or higher
MUST be able to obtain a public trust clearance; US Citizenship required
DHS and/or Secret or higher Clearance desired
Job Location:
Washington, DC located in the Ronald Reagan building with the Federal Triangle Metro Station (orange/blue lines) connected to the building by a covered passageway. The building is within walking distance of the White House, the Capitol, the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, and many of Washington, DC's finest restaurants and shops.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
