Overview:
The Senior Troux Technical Specialist has 10 years of experience leading, using, developing capabilities, and administering the Troux toolset and/or equivalent toolsets.
The candidate should have a strong background in data repository administration, tools/service integration, and impact analysis modeling using Troux, COGNOS, BIRT, and related technologies. This is a long-term contract.
Responsibilities:
Develop and document standard, custom, and ad hoc reports to the IT and Agency business units on a quarterly basis and on an as-needed basis
Work with programs to integrate data into Troux to provide enterprise and organization level reporting.
Identify, develop, document, and support implementation of process to address promotion of changes through production. Interface with the Government team lead to determine a schedule for implementation.
Manage repository security with attention given to various audiences and potentially confidential or sensitive information.
Prepare and present formal and informal presentations to various levels of the organization.
Provide formal and informal training to end-users. Formal training shall be scheduled. Informal training shall occur on an as-needed basis based on interactions with end-users.
Implement and manage the Troux data products and develop and document processes to ensure data is current and accurate as required. Collaborate with the Chief Architect or government lead to establish implementation schedule.
Work with the Troux vendor to resolve product maintenance and implementation problems.
Perform standard repository administration tasks including updates to the Troux product, deploying software patches, data migration, Troux meta model access rights, license control, and related administration duties. (about 5% of time)
Core Skills:
Strong background in data repository administration, tools/service integration, and impact analysis modeling using Troux, COGNOS, BIRT, MEGA, Rational Software Architect, ASG Rochade Metadata Repository, and IBM System Architect.
10 years experience developing capabilities within, and administering, Troux toolsets and/or equivalent.
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree required.
10 years of IT experience, with expertise in Troux toolset
Willingness and ability to pass a Public Trust background check
Job Location:
Washington, DC located next to a Green Line Metro Station. This is a long-term contract.
