Furnishes money or gaming chips/tokens, when necessary, to the Cage Cashiers, for Special Events, Slot Department, and Table Games Department in exchange for gaming instruments (chips, checks, tokens, fills, credits, jackpots, markers, etc ). Acts as sole custodian for secured key box. Safeguards and accounts for all casino cash and cash equivalent inventories for the property.
Maintains and is held highly accountable during the shift for all funds located or accounted for in the Main Bank area of the Casino including but not limited to high volumes of Cash, Gaming Chips, Gaming Checks, Items for Deposit, Customer Deposits, etc . Must be comfortable handling large volumes of cash and cash equivalent items with the highest degree of integrity and honesty. Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all departments. Maintains all records for main bank activity and transactions as reported on the Main Bank Account Reconciliation on a shift by shift basis. Supplies currency, coin and gaming checks to other departments and Cage Cashiers as needed. Verifies all money drops and deposits into the property accounts on a daily basis. Processes and reconciles Guest Deposits and Withdrawals & Cashier Banks. Pays out large jackpots or issues checks for jackpots when required. Answers the telephone in a professional manner and assists guests with questions regarding credit and/or marker and deposit status. Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions. Held to a high degree for adherence to compliance of all gaming regulations and requirements of any other governmental agencies where applicable. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah''s and encourages others to do the same. Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Performs other duties as assigned that would be applicable to the position. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Must be highly attentive to detail and be able to enter data, read, and interpret output from casino player tracking system. Must possess or be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming Work Permit. .
High school diploma or GED required. This position must have at least 1 year of casino cashiering experience with progressive knowledge of all casino cashiering areas. Proven proficiency with computers and 10 key adding machine is preferred. Must be able to enter data, read and interpret output from a computer. Must have excellent math abilities and be organized and neat with paperwork. Must be able to effectively present information on a one-on-one basis, display excellent problem solving abilities, and comprehend instructions given by supervisors to accomplish tasks while working independently of supervision. Must have excellent human relations skills. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working in assigned areas, and must be able to stand for entire length of shift. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, personal computer, fax machine, photocopier, and optical scanner. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations with minimal supervision. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
