Ethicon, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is currently recruiting for a Chemical Lab Analyst II, located in Cornelia, GA.
The Chemical Lab Analyst II - 2nd shift will perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of raw materials, monomer, polymer, and suture products. This individual will coordinate testing responsibilities to ensure Quality Assurance (QA) test support according to the needs of Manufacturing to maintain continuous process flow. Function as a team member in the QA Chemical Laboratories to provide timely test analysis information on the status of conformance to requirements. Investigate testing abnormalities and implements corrective action. Cross-train in all testing responsibilities to ensure a fully cross-functional laboratory team environment. Assist with determination of root causes of non-conformances and recommends corrective actions. Maintain laboratory chemical supplies to ensure an adequate supply and prevent testing delays. Audit documentation, device history records, and test methods for compliance. Assist with special projects by supporting the development of new test methods of performing investigative test analyses as required. Assist in projects including the validation of test methods and transfer of new products/processes/test methods. Support protocol testing as needed. Organize reports of test results. Cross-train in all chemical-testing responsibilities to ensure a fully cross-functional laboratory team environment. Schedule and performs protocol testing as needed. Organize fact book information, coordinates testing, and supports testing validation and transfer.
Training will be conducted during 1st Shift and/or 2nd Shift for a period of 3 to 6 months, depending on skill level.
Qualifications
A minimum of an Associate?s degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline (Biochemistry, Biology, etc.) is required. Bachelor?s degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of lab related work experience is preferred. Microbiology experience is preferred. Testing methods validation experience is preferred. Experience performing instrumental chemical analysis as well as knowledge of the theories of operation with the following is preferred: UV-VIS spectrophotometer; gas chromatograph; atomic absorption spectrometer; infrared spectrophotometer; differential scanning calorimeter; viscometer; melt indexer; automatic titrator. Statistical knowledge of precision, accuracy, averaging, standard deviations, ranges, percentage errors and control charting preferred. Knowledge of Quality System Regulations (QSRs) and ISO requirements preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required. Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills. Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of Process Excellence/Six Sigma concepts/tools is preferred. Must be able to work 2nd Shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am). The ability to work occasional overtime and off-shift hours is required. The ability to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) after the training period is completed is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
