Job
Summary:
Coordinate patient care encompassing standards of clinical nursing practice and Brighton Center for Recovery policies. Initiates written care plans, completes and/or reviews patient histories using knowledge of ASAM criteria, uses critical thinking and problem solving skills to facilitate safe and efficient operations on the patient care unit. Reviews and evaluates effectiveness of interventions toward patient outcomes, collaborates with other caregivers regarding discharge or patient transfer to appropriate level of care. Completes documentation in a timely manner.
Required:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing (BSN or RN).
Registered or licensed by the State of Michigan.
Two years previous work experience in a patient care capacity, including experience obtained while training as a nurse.
Must be certified, or become certified within one hundred and twenty (120) days of employment, in physical management, CPR, restraints and venipuncture.
Required registration/licensure and certifications must be kept current.
Preferred:
Two years work experience as a BSN or RN in a chemical dependency setting.
Comfortable presenting educational material in front of large groups of patients.Nursing
